Broadway Veterinary Hospital is a family-owned and operated business.  The practice was founded in the early 1980's by Doctor Mike Desrosier as a house call business.  As he was building his clientele, he would take very sick animals to his apartment (the bottom floor of a single-family house here on Capitol Hill) and provide hospitalization.  As his practice grew he was able to build the facility that now houses Broadway Veterinary Hospital.

Dr. Desrosier died of AIDS in 1993 and the business was purchased by the current owners Dr. Sandra Coon and her husband Val Lodholm.  They have continued the standard of care that Dr. Desrosier established and continue to raise the bar on this quality.

Being an accredited member of the American Animal Hospital Association, demonstrates our dedication to providing excellence in small animal care. Our hospital is evaluated regularly by AAHA to ensure that we meet or exceed the association's standards of excellence. AAHA standards are recognized around the world as the benchmark for quality care in veterinary medicine.
