  • DogCatRadio.com - A radio station designed to entertain your furry loved one while you are away at work. The radio station plays 17 hours a day and also includes webisodes that are geared toward travel destinations, creative home ideas, training tips and more.

  • National Animal Poison Control Center
    This is the website of the Animal Poison Control Center. It includes a library, links to other sites, anCat eating aloe vera plantd phone numbers for the poison control center. Find information about people foods, cosmetics, household cleaners and many issues not related to poison control.
    • The ASPCA also has an application for the iPhone and iPod touch that has a searchable database of toxic plants, scientific and common names, images of the plants, a list of potential symptoms, helpful ideas on what to do if your pet has ingested something toxic and one touch dialing to the ASPCA Animal Poison Control Center.
  • Plants Toxic to Animals, Introduction -- Vet Med Library, UIUC
    A lot of information about toxic plants can be found here. You can search under common name or scientific name of the plant.
Grief and Loss
  • Seattle Menuha Pet Hospice - Dr. Carl Bello offers in-home hospice and euthanasia services for terminally ill pets. His mission is to assist familes who are faced with the difficulties surrounding terminal illness in a way that is meaningful to you and helps you maintain the bond with your pet.
  • Association of Pet Loss and Bereavement - We have all experienced the pain of losing a pet. The Association of Pet Loss and Bereavement has set up this site for support during this most difficult time. You will find inspirational stories, grief counseling resources, hotline number and many other resources.
  • Rainbow Bridge
    Anyone who has ever lost a pet should visit this wonderful site. It is a terrific tribute to our lost family members.
  • Humane Society's Pet Loss Support Group - This group meets for free every week and can help you with the grief associated with the loss of your dear friend.
  • Cornell University's Pet Loss Support Hotline - This support hotline is staffed by volunteer veterinary students who have undergone extensive training with professional grief counselors.

  • The Cat Fanciers' Association (CFA)
    The Cat Fanciers' Association website has lots of pictures, as well as information on cat breeds, cat care, upcoming cat shows, and much more.
  • American Association of Feline Practitioners
    The AAFP is like the American Medical Association for cat doctors, and has lots of good information regarding feline health.
  • Feline Hyperthyroid Treatment Center A great resource if your cat has been diagnosed as hyperthyroid.
  • Travel with Cats - An infomative article by the Cat Fanciers' Association

  • Glacier Point for Cats - This is an extraordinary water fountain that can help your cat drink more. (Some dog owners have had luck with it as well.)
  • Ohio State University's Indoor Cat Inititiave is a great web site for all cat owners. It talks about cat needs, stressors, and problem solving, among other things.

  • My Smart Puppy  Founded by Brian Kilcommons and Sharon Wilson, best-selling authors and recognized experts on animal training and behavior, this site is a terrific resource for advice on a variety of behavioral problems. There are a variety of articles on a variety of subjects. 
  • DogTime - This web site has Pet Blogs, videos, articles, videos, forums, dog e-cards and much more.
  • DogFriendly - A web site that lists a ton of dog friendly places: hotels, beaches, RV camps, restaurants with outdoor dining and more.
  • Inherited Diseases in Dogs - This web site from the University of Cambridge has a database of diseases in purebred dogs. Very good info.
