Our Timeline

MIKE DESROSIER

After testing positive for HIV during his residency at the University of Washington School of Medicine, Mike re-focused his life’s efforts toward building a state-of-the-art veterinary practice. He purchased an old house on Capitol Hill, tore it down by hand, and thus, Broadway Veterinary Hospital was born.

SANDY COON

Working with Mike during his illness, Sandy carried on Mike’s legacy of exceptional client care and compassion far beyond his passing in 1993. With the help of her husband, Val, BVH added many layers of service to the community over the past decade. Sandy now focuses on the care her son and Val ultimately got back to his first love: teaching.

GREG MCWILLIAMS

Purchasing BVH in 2014, Greg believed deeply in offering high quality and comprehensive medicine under one roof. The beauty of the hospital is its ability to acquire a diagnosis, hospitalize the patient, or send it home on the needed medications in a single trip. The state of the art diagnostic technologies, devotion to continued education and personal accountability allowed BVH to provide superior quality and thoughtful care to the pets of Capitol Hill and the surrounding area.

WELLHAVEN PET HEALTH

Wellhaven Pet Health formed to help hospitals and their teams provide top-notch care while still allowing for life-work balance. Wellhaven saw BVH as a unique opportunity to be a part of the Capitol Hill community supporting the inhabitants and their pets. Upon acquisition, Wellhaven brought on Dr. Angela Rawlings to bring their passion for working with pet parents as a team to promote as long and happy, healthy life as possible for their pet.
